Help in the Garden

Stevie has been helping me in the garden. I am SO proud of him.

I decided to move my corn and plant them in groups instead of rows.

So after work today, Stevie and I went to Walmart and bought some potting soil and Miracle Grow. Then we went to Casey's and bought 3 more 6-packs of corn plants. We now have 4 6-packs of corn.

When we got home, he helped me carry everything into the back yard. He also helped me dig up dirt to put in the boxes Andy made for me to plant MORE stuff in. On top of that, he helped me mix up the dirt and potting soil.

After I had dug up the corn plants I wanted to move and planted ALL of them, he turned on the hose and helped me water everything.

I really hope both him and Sammy get my passion for growing stuff. I could really use the help because next year, I am planning on planting an even bigger garden. That is, IF I get the side yard cleaned up and all the rocks taken out.

I am soooo excited for Stevie to see all the veggies that we end up growing this year. Maybe next year, he will be big enough to take care of a few of his own plants.

I hate to do this but......

Ummm, due to some pervert in Germany, I am going to delete the Photobucket links to my albums, (ya know the ones over there <-------).

Sorry.

I will still post pictures but, after today, there wont be any direct access to the albums from the blog.

Sorry to have to do this to you all.

You will still be able to get to the albums through email links. So you can email me (peachykornkitten at yahoo). Tell me who you are and that you want links to the albums and I will get you taken care of.

Just Like House!

The following conversation happened between me and Stevie this morning:

Me: So guess what is on TV tonight?
Stevie: House!
Me: No, Hell's Kitchen. House is over for the season.
Stevie: I want to be like House.
Me: Gasp! You want to be a doctor?
Stevie: No, I want on the TV like House!
Me: So you want to be an actor?
Stevie: Yeah! I want to be on TV!

Great, he wants to be an actor. Bring on the paparazzi!

If he decides to pursue this, do me a favor? Please don't let me become one of those stage mothers!?

Batting a 1000 this week

Sunday- Humongous fight with my mom and KK over the kids. Long story and I am still really mad about the whole thing. Long story short, I guess I am not allowed to go out with my Husband and little brother on my Anniversary without clearing it through my little sister.

Monday-Andy had both of the boys all day due to the above mentioned fight. Sammy still has the croup and now Stevie is getting it. Also, it looks like Sammy is just as clumsy as the rest of the household and he scratched both sides of his face on the recliner handle.

Tuesday- Andy had both of the boys all day again. My dad came over to talk to Andy. Duke got really excited and kicked Sammy in the face since he was crawling on the floor and in Duke's path of destruction. Poor Sammy lived through his first of many nosebleeds.

Today- I really don't know what is going to happen. Anything is possible with our family.

3 things

Thing 1) Sammy has the croup. Yuck! This is not any fun. He is on antibiotics so it doesn't turn into pneumonia. He gets a steam shower before bed and lots of baby food. I guess the formula creates phlegm that he is too young to be able to cough up? Our Doc said that he should be better in about 5 days.

Thing 2) Our 5 year anniversary is Sunday. I don't have anything planned. I should, but I don't. Yeah, I am a slacker.

Thing 3) Stevie is getting really good at using the potty. I am so happy. He still isn't 100% accident free (like 1 accident every 2 days or so) but we are only into the 3rd week of this. Anything is better than changing 2 sets of diapers all day.

Baby News

I am going to be an Auntie in around 8 weeks! KK went to her OB and he told her that she was probably going to have this baby early. Like 4 weeks early. I have so much stuff to do.

I asked her point blank last night if she wanted me in the delivery room since my mom does not want to be there. KK said she would love it. She was worried about who was going to watch Sammy and Stevie while I was there with her. So sweet. But between Andy's capable hands and the rest of the local family, I think we have it covered.

I am a little scared but excited at the same time. It is going to be neat experiencing childbirth and not being the one in labor.

So what would that make the boys to KK's baby? Cousins right?

Sammy is sitting up! And a few pictures

Sammy is finally sitting. Not on his own but if he has something to lean back on he does pretty good. Yesterday I propped him up against a recliner and took some pictures. (Please ignore the slobber on his shirt. Teething sucks.) The very last picture may be the funniest picture ever!

Ready for another round of Stevieisms?

Here is the new stuff Stevie has been cracking us up with.

1) "Oh Tartar Sauce!"--said when something is dropped

2) "Oh Fish Paste!"--also said when something is dropped

3) "Its my only best __(insert any of the following; friend, cookie, shoe, movie, Munga, anything in sight that he has millions of)__!"--said randomly or when said object is taken away.

4) "Basketball Poop!"--yes, he still says this and I still giggle

5) "Sammy is awake/mad/happy/hungry!"--said whenever Sammy is making noise

6) "Dad's Home!"--said whenever he hears anyone driving down the street

7) "Im. Not. Sure."--said whenever asked a question. For example:
Me: Stevie, what is the rule for outside?
Stevie: Im. Not. Sure.
Me: The rule for being outside.
Stevie: Shoes and socks!
Me: So where are they?
Stevie: Im. Not. Sure.

8) "Thats Koooookyyyyy"--also said randomly. Sammy is Kooky, the stove is kooky, the shower is kooky, mom is kooky, dinner is kooky, you get the picture.

9) "Mom, what is this song about?"--this was said just today, the whole drive to Nonnies house. Yeah, like I am going to tell him what the songs REALLY mean. He is a smart little dude, he can interpret them how he wants. At least until we can have an intelligent conversation about music.

10) "Nuffin"--for example:
Me: Stevie, what are you doing?
Stevie: Nuffin
or
Me: Stevie, what do you want to eat?
Stevie: Nuffin (at least it isnt pancakes anymore)
also
Me: Stevie, what did you do to Sammy?
Stevie: Nuffin

Those are all I can think of right now. I should write these down so I can remember then when I get around to blogging about Stevieisms again.

The Garden

We had a very busy Sunday. We went to Casey's and bought $50 worth of veggies and flowers. I planted seeds a few weeks ago but I got impatient. Big shock there. Oh holy hell this sunburn hurts. So here are some pictures.

Potty Training

So I think we have this potty training stuff down. Stevie made it all day without a single accident! Awesome. 20 minutes until bed-time so I am keeping my fingers crossed that he finishes out the day at 100%. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Stevie's Birthday

Stevie had a good 3rd birthday. He got lots of presents, but not too many. He helped make his birthday cupcakes and helped frost them. He got McDonalds for lunch and pancakes for dinner.

Here are a few pictures I managed to get. (Please ignore the diaper and dirty house. We all know that I dont pretend to be a good housekeeper.)
